Brigadier General Hussein Ali Zaza (Ret.) was a senior leader in the Jordanian Armed Forces and the founder of Hussein Zaza & Sons Group of Companies. His career reflects distinguished national service, leadership within royal institutions, and post-service institutional entrepreneurship.
Military Service & National Contribution (1965–1995)
He served in senior leadership roles within the Royal Hashemite Guard during the reign of His Majesty King Hussein bin Talal and later as Director of Military Intelligence. In 1984, he was awarded Honorary Member of the Royal Victorian Order (MVO) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by direct Royal Decree.
Civilian Service & Institutional Engagement (2000–2011)
Following retirement, he served as an active member of the Credit Department at the Jordan National Bank, contributing to institutional financial governance.
Family Heritage & Historical Roots
The Zaza family contributed to the early formation of Jordan’s military and security institutions. Among notable figures are Officer Khalil Bakr Zaza and Officer Ali Ayoub Zaza. The family legacy continued with Lt. Col. Pilot Badr al-Din Zaza, Commander of the Royal Squadron, martyred in 1977.
Institutional Entrepreneurship (1995–2022)
In 1995, Hussein Ali Zaza founded Hussein Zaza & Sons Group of Companies, establishing the foundation for what later became Velixon Global Group of Companies.
